जब किसी इंसान पर शनिदेव की महादशा चल रही होती है तो उसे पीपल की पूजा का उपाय जरूर बताया जाता है। कई बार मन में यह सवाल उठता है कि ब्रम्‍हांड के सबसे शक्तिशाली और क्रूर ग्रह शनि का क्रोध मात्र पीपल वृक्ष की पूजा करने से कैसे शान्‍त हो जाता है।?

आज हम आपको बताने जा रहे हैं शनि और पीपल से सम्‍बंधित वह पौराणिक कथा जिसके बारे में आपने शायद ही पहले कभी सुना हो।

पुराणों की माने तो एक बार त्रेता युग मे अकाल पड़ गया था । उसी युग मे एक कौशिक मुनि अपने बच्चो के साथ रहते थे । बच्चो का पेट न भरने के कारण मुनि अपने बच्चो को लेकर दूसरे राज्य मे रोज़ी रोटी के लिए जा रहे थे।

रास्ते मे बच्चो का पेट न भरने के कारण मुनि ने एक बच्चे को रास्ते मे ही छोड़ दिया था । बच्चा रोते रोते रात को एक पीपल के पेड़ के नीचे सो गया था तथा पीपल के पेड़ के नीचे रहने लगा था। तथा पीपल के पेड़ के फल खा कर बड़ा होने लगा था। तथा कठिन तपस्या करने लगा था ।

एक दिन ऋषि नारद वहाँ से जा रहे थे । नारद जी को उस बच्चे पर दया आ गयी तथा नारद जी ने उस बच्चे को पूरी शिक्षा दी थी तथा विष्णु भगवान की पूजा का विधान बता दिया था। अब बालक भगवान विष्णु की तपस्या करने लगा था । एक दिन भगवान विष्णु ने आकर बालक को दर्शन दिये तथा विष्णु भगवान ने कहा कि हे बालक मैं आपकी तपस्या से प्रसन्न हूँ । आप कोई वरदान मांग लो।  बालक ने विष्णु भगवान से सिर्फ भक्ति और योग मांग लिया था । अब बालक उस वरदान को पाकर पीपल के पेड़ के नीचे ही बहुत बड़ा तपस्वी और योगी हो गया था। एक दिन बालक ने नारद जी से पूछा कि हे प्रभु हमारे परिवार की यह हालत क्यो हुई है । मेरे पिता ने मुझे भूख के कारण छोड़ दिया था और आजकल वो कहा है।

नारद जी ने कहा बेटा आपका यह हाल शानिमहाराज ने किया है । देखो आकाश मे यह शनैश्चर दिखाई दे रहा है । बालक ने शनैश्चर को उग्र दृष्टि से देखा और क्रोध से उस शनैश्चर को नीचे गिरा दिया । उसके कारण शनैश्चर का पैर टूट गया । और शनि असहाय हो गया था। शनि का यह हाल देखकर नारद जी बहुत प्रसन्न हुए । नारद जी ने सभी देवताओ को शनि का यह हाल दिखाया था । शनि का यह हाल देखकर ब्रह्मा जी भी वहाँ आ गए थे । और बालक से कहा कि मैं ब्रह्मा हूँ आपने बहुत कठिन तप किया है। आपके परिवार की यह दुर्दशा शनि ने ही की है । आपने शनि को जीत लिया है । आपने पीपल के फल खाकर जीवंन जीया है । इसलिए आज से आपका नाम पिपलाद ऋषि के नाम जाना जाएगा।और आज से जो आपको याद करेगा उसके सात जन्म के पाप नष्ट हो जाएँगे। तथा पीपल की पूजा करने से आज के बाद शनि कभी कष्ट नहीं देगा । ब्रह्मा जी ने पिपलाद बालक को कहा कि अब आप इस शनि को आकाश मे स्थापित कर दो । बालक ने शनि को ब्रह्माण्ड मे स्थापित कर दिया ।

तथा पिपलाद ऋषि ने शनि से यह वायदा लिया कि जो पीपल के वृक्ष की पूजा करेगा उसको आप कभी कष्ट नहीं दोगे । शनैश्चर ने ब्रह्मा जी के सामने यह वायदा ऋषि पिपलाद को दिया था।

उस दिन से यह परंपरा है जो ऋषि पिपलाद को याद करके शनिवार को पीपल के पेड़ की पूजा करता है उसको शनि की साढ़े साती , शनि की ढैया और शनि महादशा कष्ट कारी नहीं होती है ।

शनि की पूजा और व्रत एक वर्ष तक लगातार करनी चाहिए। शनि कों तिल और सरसो का तेल बहुत पसंद है इसलिए तेल का दान भी शनिवार को करना चाहिए । पूजा करने से तो दुष्ट मनुष्य भी प्रसन्न हो जाता है।

तो फिर शनि क्यो नहीं प्रसन्न होगा ? इसलिए शनि की पूजा का विधान तो भगवान ब्रह्मा ने दिया है।

Importance of Peepal worship in Arishta Shani peace

When the Mahadasha of Shani Dev is going on a person, he is definitely told the remedy of worship of Peepal. Many times the question arises in the mind that how does the anger of Saturn, the most powerful and cruel planet of the universe, become peaceful just by worshiping the Peepal Tree.?

Today we are going to tell you that legend related to Shani and Peepal, which you have rarely heard before.

According to the Puranas, there was a famine in the Treta era. In the same era, a Kaushik Muni lived with his children. Because of not filling the stomach of the children, the sage was going to live in another state for bread.

On the way, Muni had left a child on the way due to not filling the stomach of the children. The child slept crying under a peepal tree and stayed under the peepal tree. And started growing up after eating the fruit of the Peepal tree. And started doing hard penance.

One day sage Narada was leaving from there. Narada ji took pity on that child and Narada ji had given full education to that child and told the law of worship of Lord Vishnu. Now the child started doing austerities to Lord Vishnu. One day Lord Vishnu came and appeared to the child and Lord Vishnu said that, O child, I am happy with your penance. You ask for a boon.  The child had only sought devotion and yoga from Lord Vishnu. Now the child had become a very ascetic and yogi under the Peepal tree after receiving that boon.

One day the child asked Narada ji, why is this condition of our family, Lord. My father left me because of hunger and nowadays he has said that.Narada ji said, son, Shanimaharaja has done this for you. Look, this shatcher is seen in the sky. The child looked at the Shanastar with a fierce vision and in anger, dropped the Shanastara down. Due to this Shanashcher broke his leg. And Saturn became helpless.

Narada ji was very happy to see this condition of Shani. Narada Ji showed this condition of Shani to all the gods. Seeing this condition of Shani, Brahma ji also came there. And said to the child that I am Brahma, you have meditated very hard.

Shani has done this plight of your family. You have conquered Saturn. You have lived by eating the fruits of peepal. Hence, from today your name will be known in the name of Sage Piplad. And from today onwards, the sins of seven births will be destroyed.

And Saturn will never cause trouble after worshiping Peepal. Brahma Ji told the Piplad boy that now you install this Saturn in the sky. The child placed Saturn in the universe.

And the sage Piplad took the promise from Shani that you will never trouble anyone who worships the Peepal tree. Shanaichar gave this promise in front of Brahma Ji to the sage Piplad.  Since that day, it is a tradition to remember the sage Piplad who worships the Peepal tree on Saturday, he does not suffer from Saturn's Shadesati, Shani-dhaiya and Shani-Mahadasha.

Worship and fast of Shani should be done continuously for one year. Shani likes sesame oil and mustard oil so he should donate oil on Saturday. Even the wicked person becomes happy by worshiping.

Then why won't Saturn be happy? Therefore, Lord Brahma has given the honour to worship Shani.
