आखिर क्यों एक अप्रैल को ही मनाया जाता है मूर्ख दिवस 

हर साल एक अप्रैल को फ़ूल्स डे यानी मूर्ख दिवस मनाया जाता है। इस दिन लोग एक दूसरे के साथ मज़ाक करते हैं। हर देश में इस दिवस को लेकर अलग-अलग चलन हैं। कई देशों में दोपहर तक ही मज़ाक किया जाता है। मूर्ख दिवस आज है, ऐसे में आपको बताते हैं कि आखिर इस दिवस की शुरुआत कब से हुई और क्यों मनाया जाता है और इससे जुड़े किस्से क्या हैं।अप्रैल फूल डे केवल भारत में ही नहीं बल्कि पूरी दुनिया में मनाया जाता है। कुछ देशों में एक अप्रैल को छुट्टी होती है। लेकिन भारत सहित कुछ देशों में अप्रैल फूल के दिन कोई छुट्टी नहीं होती है। एक अप्रैल को हर तरह का मज़ाक करने की छूट होती है। यही नहीं जिनके साथ मज़ाक होता है वह बुरा भी नहीं मानते।

ऐसे हुई शुरुआत

अप्रैल फूल को लेकर कई कहानियां प्रचलित हैं। कहा जाता है कि अप्रैल फूल्स डे (मूर्ख दिवस) की शुरुआत फ्रांस में 1582 में उस वक्त हुई, जब पोप चार्ल्स IX ने पुराने कैलेंडर की जगह नया रोमन कैलेंडर शुरू किया। बताया जाता है कि इस दौरान कुछ लोग पुरानी तारीख पर ही नया साल मनाते रहे और उन्हें ही अप्रैल फूल्स कहा गया। साथ ही उनका मज़ाक भी मनाया गया, हालांकि कई जगह इसकी शुरुआत 1392 भी बताई जाती है, लेकिन इसके कोई पुख्ता प्रमाण नहीं है।

• फ्रांस, इटली, बेल्जियम में काग़ज़ की मछली बनाकर लोगों के पीछे चिपका दी जाती है और मज़ाक बनाया जाता है। वहीं स्पेनिश बोलने वाले देशों में 28 दिसंबर को अप्रैल फूल मनाया जाता है, जिसे डे ऑफ होली इनोसेंट्स कहा जाता है। ईरानी फारसी नए साल के 13वें दिन एक-दूसरे पर तंज कसते हैं, यह एक या दो अप्रैल का दिन होता है। डेनमार्क में एक मई को यह मनाया जाता है और इसे मज-कट कहते हैं।
• 1 अप्रैल और मूर्खता के बीच सबसे पहला दर्ज किया गया संबंध चॉसर के कैंटरबरी टेल्स (1392) में पाया जाता है। कई लेखक यह बताते हैं कि 16वीं सदी में एक जनवरी को न्यू ईयर्स डे के रूप में मनाए जाने का चलन एक छुट्टी का दिन निकालने के लिए शुरू किया गया था, लेकिन यह सिद्धांत पुराने संदर्भों का उल्लेख नहीं करता है।
• इतिहास पर नज़र डालें, तो एक अप्रैल के दिन कई मज़ेदार घटनाएं हुई हैं, जिसके चलते इस दिन को अप्रैल फूल-डे के तौर पर मनाया जाने लगा।  जैसे 1539 में फ्लेमिश कवि 'डे डेने' ने एक अमीर आदमी के बारे में लिखा, जिसने 1 अप्रैल को अपने नौकरों को मूर्खतापूर्ण कार्यों के लिए बाहर भेजा। 
• 1 अप्रैल 1698 को कई लोगों को 'शेर की धुलाई देखने' के लिए धोखे से टॉवर ऑफ लंदन में ले जाया गया। 
• लेखक कैंटरबरी टेल्स (1392) ने अपनी एक कहानी 'नन की प्रीस्ट की कहानी' में 30 मार्च और 2 दिन लिखा, जो प्रिंटिंग में गलती के चलते 32 मार्च हो गई, जो असल में 1 अप्रैल का दिन था। इस कहानी में एक घमंडी मुर्गे को एक चालाक लोमड़ी ने बेवकूफ बनाया था। इस गलती के बाद कहा जाने लगा कि लोमड़ी ने एक अप्रैल को मुर्गे को बेवकूफ बनाया। 
• वहीं, अंग्रेज़ी साहित्य के महान लेखक ज्योफ्री चौसर का 'कैंटरबरी टेल्स (1392)' ऐसा पहला ग्रंथ है जहां एक अप्रैल और बेवकूफी के बीच संबंध का ज़िक्र किया गया था। 

ऐसे तमाम किस्से हैं जिस वजह से पहली अप्रैल के दिन बेहद फनी काम हुए और तो कुछ प्लैन किए गए, जिस वजह से 1 अप्रैल को अप्रैल फूल-डे के तौर पर मज़ेदार तरीके से सेलिब्रेट किया जाने लगा। कहानी नन्स प्रीस्ट्स टेल के मुताबिक, इंग्लैंड के राजा रिचर्ड द्वितीय और बोहेमिया की रानी एनी की सगाई की तारीख 32 मार्च घोषित कर दी गई जिसे वहां की जनता ने सच मान लिया और मूर्ख बन बैठे। तब से 32 मार्च यानी 1 अप्रैल को अप्रैल फूल डे के रूप में मनाया जाता है।

जनश्रुति के आधार पर यूरोप के कई लोगों ने जहां इस कैलेंडर को स्वीकार नहीं किया था तो वहीं कई लोगों को इसके बारे में जानकारी ही नहीं थी। जिसके चलते नए कैलेंडर के आधार पर नववर्ष मनाने वाले लोग पुराने तरीके से अप्रैल में नववर्ष मनाने वाले लोगों को मूर्ख मनाने लगे और तभी से अप्रैल फूल या मूर्ख दिवस का प्रचलन बढ़ता चला गया।

तो चलिए आज निश्छल शरारत की कलम को हंसी की स्याही में डुबो, दिमाग के खुराफाती कैनवास में तैयार करते हैं कुछ खुशी की मिठास से भरे प्लान और बनाते हैं दोस्तों को मूर्ख, क्योंकि आज है अप्रैल फूल।हंसी-मजाक और निश्छल आनंद के लिए मनाए जाने वाले मूर्ख दिवस को मनाएं तो जरूर, लेकिन साथ ही इस बात का भी ध्यान रखें कि आपके द्वारा किया गया मजाक किसी को हानि न पहुंचाए।

• The earliest recorded association between April 1 and stupidity is found in Chaucer's Canterbury Tales (1392). Many authors state that the practice of celebrating January 1 as New Year's Day was started in the 16th century to mark a holiday, but this theory does not refer to earlier references.

• If we look at the history, then on April 1, there have been many fun events due to which this day was celebrated as April Fool's Day.- As in 1539 the Flemish poet 'De-Dene' wrote about a rich man who on 1 April, sent his servants out for foolish deeds.

• On 1 April 1698, many people were tricked into the Tower of London to 'watch the washing of the lions'.  Author Canterbury Tales (1392) wrote one of his stories 'Nun's Priest's Story' on 30 March and 2 days, which due to a mistake in printing turned out to be 32 March, which was actually the day of 1 April. In this story a boastful hen was fooled by a clever fox. After this mistake, it was said that the fox fooled the chicken on April 1.

• At the same time, 'Canterbury Tales (1392)' by Geoffrey Chaucer, the great writer of English literature, is the first book where the relationship between an April and an idiot was mentioned.

There are many stories that caused a lot of fun on the first April and some plans were made, due to which April 1 began to be celebrated in a fun manner as April Fool's Day. According to the story Nuns Priest's Tale, the engagement date of King Richard II of England and Queen Anne of Bohemia was declared March 32, which the people of the country accepted as true and became foolish. Since then, 32 March i.e. 1 April is celebrated as April Fool's Day.

While many people in Europe did not accept this calendar on the basis of mass fertility, many people were not aware of it. Due to this, people celebrating New Year on the basis of new calendar started fooling those who celebrated New Year in April in the old way and since then the trend of April Fool or Fool's Day has increased.
