गौरतलब है कि 'रामायण' का प्रसारण जनवरी 1987 से जुलाई 1988 तक हुआ था। उस वक्त ये सीरियल सुपरहिट रहा था। सीरियल का प्रसारण रविवार की सुबह होता था। जब ये सीरियल प्रसारित होता था सभी सीरियल देखने में इतने व्यस्त हो जाते थे कि सड़कों पर सन्नाटा पसर जाता था।

25 साल हो गए हैं जब भारत के सबसे बड़े टीवी सीरियल ‘रामायण’ की आखिरी कड़ी दूरदर्शन पर प्रसारित हुई थी। इसकी लोकप्रियता का अंदाज़ इस बात से लगाया जा सकता है कि हर सप्ताह इस सीरियल को करीब 10 करोड़ लोग देखते थे. ये आंकड़े तब के हैं जब भारत में टीवी का प्रसार बहुत नहीं हुआ था। भारत में लोगों को यह अंदाज़ा नहीं था कि 'इडियट बॉक्स' समझे जाने वाले टीवी का असर इस कदर हो सकता है कि लोग इसके कार्यक्रम के हिसाब से अपनी ज़िदगी की घड़ी चलाएंगे।

90 के दशक की सुपर डुपर हिट धार्मिक धारावाहिक “रामायण” एक बार फिर से देश में लगे लॉकडाउन के दौरान फिर से लोगो के मनोरंजन के लिए दुबारा दिखाई जा रही है! इसके चलते उस वक़्त की कई यादे ताजा हो रही है जो सबके लिए बहुत ही दिलचस्प और रोचक है! आज हम ऐसी ही रामायण सीरियल से जुडी अनसुनी रोचक बातो का खजाना आपके लिए प्रस्तुत कर रहे है, तो चलिए जानते है:

रामानंद सागर कृत रामायण” को “MYTHOLOGICAL SERIAL”के रुप में जून 2003 को लिमका बुक रिकार्ड में नाम दर्ज कर लिया गया था।
रामायण में जब जूनियर कलाकारों की जरूरत पड़ती थी तो ढोल नगाड़े बजाकर गांव गांव जाकर कलाकार भर्ती किए जाते थे।
पाँच महाद्वीपों में दिखाई जाने वाली रामायण को विश्व भर में 65 करोड़ से ज्यादा दर्शकों ने देखा था।
रामायण और रामानंद सागर कई सालो से एक दूसरे के पर्याय बन चुके है, क्योकि देश को 1987 में पहली बार रामायण टीवी पर दिखाने वाले रामानंद सागर ही थे।
बहुत कम लोगो को पता होगा की रामानन्द सागर इस टीवी सीरियल के पहले कई बॉलीवुड फिल्मों में काम कर चुके थे।लेकिन किसी कारण को लेकर उन्होंने फिल्मी कैरियर को विराम दे दिया था ।
“रामायण” भारत का पहला एकमात्र ऐसा धारावाहिक था, जो 45 मिनट ब्रॉडकास्ट होता था। बाकी दूसरे सिरियल 30 मिनट ही प्ले होते थे, वो भी विज्ञापन के साथ।
जब रामायण में रावण की मृत्यु होती है तो रावण का पात्र अरविंद त्रिवेदी के गांव में शोक मनाया जाता है।
भारत सरकार द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त “रामायण” का पहला ऐपीसोड भारतीय सरकारी चैनल “दुरदर्शन” पर 24 जनवरी 1987 को प्रसारित किया गया था ।
सुचना प्रसारण विभाग के सर्वे मे पाया गया कि रामायण धारावाहिक जब शुरू होता था तो भारत के 99% टी.वी. पर प्रसारित होता था ।
“रामायण” भारत का एकमात्र टी.वी. धारावाहिक था जिसके दौरान पब्लिक ट्रान्सपोर्ट जाम हो जाता था।
भारत के कुछ हिस्सों में “रामायण” ऐपीसोड आने के समय से पहले लोग अपने जुते-चप्पल उतार देते थे । वे उन्हे भगवान का पुरा दर्जा देते थे ।
एक भारतीय ने रामानंद सागर जी को पांच हजार का चैक और एक पत्र भेजा था । उस पत्र में लिखा था कि मै अपनी बेटी को दहेज में रामायण की टेप देना चाहता हूँ।
रामायण को स्पोन्सर्स करने के लिये सभी भारतीय प्रोड्यूर्सस ने साफ मना कर दिया था । फिर रामानंद सागर ने खुद स्पोन्सर्स किया औऱ जबर्दस्त हिट हुआ ।
रामायण के सभी ऐपीसोड “उमरगाव” स्टूडियो में शुट हुये थे, जो मुम्बई से लगभग 15 मिल कि दुरी पर था और जो स्पेशल रामायण के लिये ही किराये पर लिया गया था ।
रामानंद सागर जी ने टीम के 150 सभी कार्यकर्ताओं के लिये रामायण की शुटिग के दौरान शाकाहारी भोजन बनवाया था।
भारत के कुछ हिस्सो के मन्दिरो में रामायण के मुख्य कलाकार अरुण गोविल (राम) व दिपिका चिखालिया (सीता) के फोटो लगे है।
रामानंद सागर जी कि रामायण करने के बाद अरुण गोविल (राम) ने नशीले पदार्थो शराब, बीडी-सिगरेट, पान-मसाला का सेवन त्याग दिया था।
अरुण गोविल (राम) को स्वर्गीय “राजीव गांधी” ने इलाहाबाद से कांग्रेस पार्टी से चुनाव लडने के लिये कहा था। लेकिन गोविल (राम) ने ये कहकर मना कर दिया था कि ये मेरी भगवान राम की इमेज को खराब कर देगा ।
अरुण गोविल(राम) व दिपिका चिखालिया(सीता) को जब किसी प्रोग्राम के लिये शिरकत करने के लिये बुलाया जाता था, तो लोग उनके पैर छूकर आर्शिवाद लेते थे।
भारत में यह धार्मिक सीरियल इस कदर लोगो की भावनाओ के साथ जुड़ गया था कि जैसे ही टीवी पर राम या सीता दिखाई देते थे, लोग उनके हाथ जोड़के दर्शन करते थे।
वर्तमान में दिपिका चिखालिया (सीता) अपने पति हेमन्त टोपीवाला कि कॉस्मेटिक कम्पनी में मार्केटिंग हेड के रुप में काम करती है । दीपिका चिखलिया जल्द ही सरोजनी नायडू की बायोपिक में नजर आ सकती है, यह स्वयं उन्होंने ही बताया।
अरुण गोविल (राम) और सुनील लहरी (लछ्मण) मिलकर मुम्बई मे राम-लछ्मण प्रोडक्शन हाउस के नाम से अपनी प्रोडक्शन कम्पनी चला रहे है।
संगीत की दुनिया की सरताज रविंद्र जैन जी को रामायण ने कर दिया था अमर। घर घर में उनकी आवाज लोकप्रिय हो गयी थी।
78 एपिसोड पूरे होने के बाद दर्शकों ने रामायण मे लव कुश प्रसंग की मांग की, इस पर रामानंद सागर ने पहले ही कह दिया था कि वह काल्पनिक होगा। और इस सीरियल पर वाद विवाद होने के कारण रामानंद सागर पर 10 साल का कोर्ट केस भी चला।
इस धारावाहिक की शुटिग के बाद दिपिका चिखलिया (सीता) और अरविंद त्रिवेदी (रावण) दोनो का खुब जमकर रियल लाईफ मे अफेयर चला था।
आज भी 33 वर्षों बाद दूरदर्शन पर सुबह 9:00 बजे रामायण के प्रसारण के साथ ही सोशल मीडिया पर रामायण ट्रेंड करने लगी, जबकि कोरोनावायरस सोशल मीडिया में पिछड़ गया।

All the episodes of Ramayana were shot in the "Umargao" studio. It was about 15 millimeters away from Mumbai which was specially hired for Ramayana only.
Ramanand Sagar ji made vegetarian food for all 150 team workers during the Ramayana shooting.
Temples in some parts of India have photographs of the main actors of Ramayana, Arun Govil (Ram) and Dipika Chikhaliya (Sita).
After Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan serial, Arun Govil (Ram) gave up the consumption of intoxicating liquor, beedi-cigarette, pan-masala.
Arun Govil (Ram) was asked by the late "Rajiv Gandhi" to contest elections from Allahabad for Congress Party. But Govil (Ram) refused, saying that 'this will spoil the image of my Lord Ram.
When Arun Govil (Ram) and Dipika Chikhaliya (Sita) were called to attend a programme, people touched their feet and took their blessings.
This religious serial in India was so entwined with the sentiments of the people that as soon as Ram or Sita appeared on TV, people would join their hands in namaskar mudra and see them.
Currently, Dipika Chikhaliya (Sita) works as a Marketing Head in the Cosmetic Company of her husband Hemant Topiwala. Deepika Chikhalia may soon be seen in Sarojini Naidu's biopic, she herself said
Arun Govil (Ram) and Sunil Lahiri (Lachman) together run their production company in Mumbai under the name of Ram-Lachman Production House.
Ramayana had made Ravindra Jain ji, the king of music. His voice started entering each and every Indian house and his voice has become Sartaj of music world.
After 78 episodes were completed, the audience demanded Luv Kush Ramayan on which Ramanand Sagar had told them that the serial would be fictional. And there was a 10-year court case against Ramanand Sagar because of the controversy over this serial.
After the shooting of this serial, both Deepika Chikhaliya (Sita) and Arvind Trivedi (Ravana) had a strong affair in real life.
Even today 33 years later with the telecast of the Ramayana on Doordarshan at 9:00 am, the Ramayana started trending on social media, while Coronavirus lagged behind on social media.--------
